2 Carbonites’ Directors turned a year older in September: Lily & Chew. That was 2 days of cake (digestion) for the whole office! *Burp*

260km, 13 Carbonites, 3 cars and 1 fun-filled journey pretty much sum up our road trip. The ever intrepid Carbonites and friends decided on a whim to go for a Melaka weekend getaway. So off we headed for the birthplace of the Peranakans to eat, shop, see, and play. And did we just say eat?
Wondering just what’s been happening with us these past months? Here’s a little sneak peek of what’s been going on behind the scenes over at camp Carbon.
We’ve been very fortunate to partner with the National Environment Agency (NEA) in producing last year’s 1st season of the NEA Eco Music Challenge. The competition, was a first-of-its-kind campaign to spread the word on going green through music. This year, we are back for more with an exciting 2nd season, and a new feature artist – local singer / songwriter, Inch Chua.
Look out for the launch of season 2, coming this April 2011!

Taking time out of our busy schedules, the team headed out of the office for our annual corporate planning event.
We had a good time bonding during the various sharing sessions and team-building games during the day. In the process, we discovered a couple of additional talents amongst our team. Check them out in these clips:

We began the year with a blast for our first Carbon Outing as we headed to the Night Safari. Arriving just as the crowds started to stream in, we sat down to enjoy a sumptuous meal at Bongo Burgers. Our journey began as soon as our stomaches were satisfied.
Despite having some difficulty viewing some of the animals who were well hidden in their enclosure, the team enjoyed our leisurely stroll through the park.
It was definitely a great start to the year and we’re all looking forward to what’s next!
As part of our tradition, the entire team heads out for a night of celebration at the end of each year. Besides good food and company, we had our Christmas gift exchange as well as lucky draw. Here’s a little glimpse of the night. Enjoy : )
